The members of The Out-Sect all met while living in a Philadelphia junkyard. On weekends they would gather to drink beers inside a broken down 1982 GMC Caballero with a copy of Back From The Grave stuck in the car’s cassette player. Instantly being drawn to the trashy sounds of those pimple-faced mid-60s punks, they figured they could write a song half as good as any of them. And that’s just what they did! Using instruments they, quite literally, found in the trash, the band has managed to write a handful of deranged “songs” that will leave you asking yourself “What is that smell?” and “Dear god, can they just stop playing!?”

Larlene is a local BFF trio. A pandemic-born band new to the scene, Larlene curates an all out melody driven basement rock fuzz fest. They hit a post-punk, stoner rock wall of sound with cutting harmonies and introspective bare bones story telling. Conveying a wide range of feeling in their catalog, Larlene will take you from garage jams to ethereal heartbreak in a wink.

SHID creates a uniquely raw yet refined sound, combining elements of garage, punk and fuzz with thoughtful songwriting and killer instrumentation. SHID is loud and in your face, but at the same time sweet and vulnerable. A review of their October 2021 first show deemed them “absolutely feral.” Since then the band has been compared to “McDonald’s sprite,” and “that part in a B-horror movie where the two horny people have sex while their friends are being murdered.” A live recording of their second show, released as “SHID The Pouch 10.25.21” can be found on Bandcamp. SHID consists of Noah Kolb (vocals, guitar), Gisli (guitar), Wolfgang Noll (bass), and Patrick Miller (drums). Find them on Instagram (@shiddyband) or in a dirty basement near you.
