MONDO COZMO

The time is now for Mondo Cozmo. 
Initially, the artist also known as Josh Ostrander was known for his work as part of the trio Eastern Conference Champions. The band experienced a degree of success, with a song featured on the Twilight soundtrack. But that wasn’t enough for the Philadelphia native. Soon, the band split and Ostrander began recording under the moniker Mondo Cozmo.
By 2016, his solo career took off. Signed to Republic Records, Mondo Cozmo had a No. 1 single with “Shine.” Most recent, Mondo Cozmo had a significant resurgence with “Shine” following a sync on Amazon Prime’s ‘Reacher’ Series 3 finale. After 9 years, “Shine” was the #1 most Shazamed song in the U.S. & Canada, and #11 in the World.
The unexpected but much-deserved hype follows the release of latest album It’s PRINCIPLE!, a varied, grizzled, intense, sincere, and intricate rock album, produced by Mark Rankin (Queens of the Stone Age, Adele) via Last Gang Records. An album with a cocksure bluster of an artist that has run out of f**ks to give, and all the better for it. Single “Angels,” is a wall of sound rock epic with momental lyrics, “Wild Horses” stomps you into oblivion, “Killing Floor” a slow burn esoteric love song,  where deep cuts like “Sundown In An Age Of Fear” are more abstract but contains a refined energy, hard to pinpoint but compelling to its core.
