CHRISTINA WARD

Post folk psychedelic self-immolation. Sounds like a distant star dying. Shreds harder than anyone. A voice to make angels envious. – Cregg @ Pale Horse Press.

HAUNTRESS

Hauntress is a Philly rock band that formed in 2019. Stylistically, their songs combine elements of traditional heavy metal, early 90s grunge, math rock, gothic and doom metal as well as mid-2000s indie rock, while their lyrics tend towards both internal and interpersonal strife as well as broader cultural concerns.

POWERHOUSE OF THE CELL

Powerhouse of the Cell is from Philly and has TVs.

MARIA MIRENZI

Maria Mirenzi is an indie rock singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist living in Philly. Maria sings you a story with arresting, evocative vocals and an electric guitar in hand, hoping you can relate. Her songwriting is semi-autobiographical, haunting yet whimsical, constantly bouncing between hope and despair. With a trained background in jazz and classical music, Maria combines her rich harmonic vocabulary with her love of rock, pop and folk music and is influenced by indie artists like Madison Cunningham, Jesca Hoop, Andy Shauf and Hayley Williams. Her debut EP, All’s Well (released in November 2025) was produced by Grammy award-winning engineer, Matt Poirier, and features songs that pull us inside an emotional world, forcing us to grapple with our humanness.
