Devin Tuel & Stephen Harms (formerly Native Harrow) have mesmerized audiences across the US, Canada, UK, and Europe with a series of six self-produced albums and a decade of captivating live performances. Known for their individualistic blend of folk-rock, soul, RnB, and Americana/roots, they have created a discography of “rich, engrossing records” and “instant classics” while single-mindedly following their own artistic code. They’ve consistently toured throughout Europe and the North America and have shared stages with Eagles, Robert Plant & Alison Kraus, Beth Hart, Sierra Ferrell, Courtney Marie Andrews, The Heavy Heavy, The Cactus Blossoms, and more.Their original perspective and extraordinary songwriting, combined with a completely individual approach to crafting albums and steering their career, has dubbed the pair, “Twilight twang and vintage vibes” (ROLLING STONE), “Exquisite. Expect forays into desert funk, warm ‘70s groove, jazz and piano balladry” (UNCUT), and “Razor-sharp folk rock” (MOJO).
JR EVERHART
JR Everhart has been a steady presence in Philadelphia’s independent music scene for years, known for his work as a singer/songwriter and guitarist for Cosmic Guilt and as a guitarist for Owen Stewart and Low Cut Connie. With a knack for heartfelt storytelling and dynamic musicianship, he’s helped shape the sound of multiple projects, blending rock, folk, and psych influences. Everhart is busily finishing his debut, self-titled album and will be performing it in its entirety with an all-star band.
JOEY SWEENEY
Joey Sweeney began his career as a multi-hyphenate — writer/musician/creative — and has stayed true to that by addingmore hyphens over the last two decades. Starting out as a graphicdesigner, he soon began a career in media that saw him on theeditorial staff of Philadelphia Weekly for the better part of a decade,before graduating to larger publications like the Philadelphia Inquirer and Salon.com. During this time, he was awarded an AANAward For Music Criticism and was included in DaCapo’s Best MusicWriting, edited by Jonathan Lethem.
In the early aughts, Sweeney founded the groundbreaking Philly-centered commentary site Philebrity.com, which remains thecity’s longest-running independent cityblog. By the 2010s, he’djumped the fence from editorial to advertising to build an entirely new skill set as a Creative Director at Quaker City Mercantile, working on behalf of some of the world’s largest spirits brands; during this time, he also served as the Director of The 215 Festival, the Philadelphia-based literary festival. All the while, he has also continued to makemusic, gaining accolades from Pitchfork and American Songwriter, just to name a few, as well as continuing to writeshort stories and essays. He lives in Philadelphia with his wife, the poet and editor Elizabeth Scanlon.
