HURRY

Hurry is the Philadelphia band led by Matt Scottoline, a jangly fixture in the City of Brotherly Love since the early 2010s. Over six albums — the last four released on beloved Philly label Lame-O Records — Hurry has grown from a local cornerstone into a defining force in contemporary power pop that’s toured worldwide.
Their seventh album, Zoned Out, arrives July 10th on Lame-O Records. Engineered by Ian Farmer (Modern Baseball, Slaughter Beach, Dog) and featuring Rob and Joe DeCarolis on drums and bass, Justin Fox on guitar, and a cameo from Teenage Fanclub’s Gerard Love, it’s their best work yet — ten fuzzy, hook-laden songs that will lodge themselves in your brain.

SAD13

Sad13 is the production alias of Sadie Dupuis, best known as the guitarist and songwriter of indie band Speedy Ortiz, as well as a poet who’s published two well-received books. Her solo project—which mixes electronic and rock subgenres in glittering home recordings—debuted in 2016 with “Basement Queens,” a collaboration with Lizzo, followed shortly thereafter by politically-minded pop album Slugger (Carpark Records). 2020’s studio-trotting, maximalist Haunted Painting (also on Carpark) showcased Dupuis’ growing technical skills, and it was tracked alongside engineers like Illuminati Hotties’ Sarah Tudzin and Spacemoth’s Maryam Qudus. Sad13 has played worldwide, hitting festivals like Glastonbury and BIGSOUND, and toured with artists including Deerhoof, Vagabon, and Ted Leo. As a session player, she’s contributed to albums by Backxwash, Ben Lee, the New Pornographers, and more. In 2023, Rolling Stone named her one of their Greatest Guitarists of All Time.
