SCORPIO SZN FINALE
JOHN FAYE
John Faye is a singer-songwriter who has had a prolific multi-decade career as the voice of the Caulfields, IKE, John & Brittany, and his solo work. John is also a member of (Hooters drummer) David Uosikkinen’s In The Pocket.
As the lead singer and songwriter for the Caulfields, he released two albums on A&M Records in the mid-90’s, had a modern rock radio hit in the US and Australia (“Devil’s Diary”), had song placements in major films and television shows through a publishing deal with Warner-Chappell, and toured nationally and internationally. The Caulfields went on permanent hiatus in 2025, playing two sold-out farewell concerts – at WXPN Free At Noon in Philadelphia, and at the Queen in their home state of Delaware.
Faye’s latest album (his 16th studio release) “The Long Game” dropped on vinyl in December of 2024 in partnership Hooters drummer David Uosikkinen’s ITP Entertainment. The single “Asking For A Friend” was added into regular rotation at Philadelphia Non-Com radio powerhouse WXPN and cracked the top 60 on the CDX Triple A singles chart in a national radio campaign.
SUG DANIELS
Sug Daniels is a Delaware born, Philadelphia based, singer-songwriter and producer who is using the tools around her to capture the emotions of an era. Daniels’ work is as colorful, vulnerable, and charismatic as her personality. She thoughtfully combines elements of folk, R&B, and soul alternatives to create personal and tender music interlaced with messages of truth and positive change.
ROBERTA FACEPLANT
Roberta Faceplant is a honky tonk hurricane from Philadelphia. Safely in the middle of a Venn diagram where kitsch meets bitch, the five-piece Outlaw Americana band has been called “a cowpunk miracle” and been compared to “Southern Culture on the Skids fronted by Laura Bell Bundy.” It’s Country, but you can hear the city.
Raucous guitars, a driving rhythm section, and the raw, powerful, and soulful vocals of frontwoman Katie Feeney make Roberta Faceplant a five-fingered fist of Country grit. Lyrically, Feeney and the band pull no punches, tackling current events with tongue in cheek humor and rage. Peppered with Bob Seger-style working-man themes and a dose of Southern Rock, the band still holds tight to the true spirit of country music – three chords and the truth.
