PHANTOM SPIRE

Since 2019, Sorrel-Briar Harrow’s solo endeavor, Phantom Spire (or xPHANTOMSPIREx), has strived to dismantle the sonic boundaries between black metal, noise, and dungeon synth. Disquietingly abrasive while catchy and sweet, Sorrel strives to make a sound that is solely hers through the use of programmed blast beats, keyboards, and distorted vocals. Over the span of two albums and several demos worth of material recorded to date, she has frantically shrieked about heartbreak, devotion, her self-image, and many other deeply personal topics. Her live appearances have been rare but impactful!

GILAH

Gilah (FKA Inspiraling) is the shoegaze, or “Deep Gaze,” project of Gil Israel, currently based in Ridgewood, NY. After releasing the last Inspiraling EP, The Wrong Places, via Spirit Goth Records in 2017, the time felt ripe for a name change. After all, new name equals new music ;)
The latest mini LP, From Where I’m Standing, released via Window Sill in 2020, is inspired more heavily by slow-core and ambient textures than previous efforts, while still retaining an emphasis on the same idiosyncratic maximalist aesthetic. From Where I’m Standing was highlighted in Bandcamp Daily’s “Rare Shoegaze Gems From All Eras Unearthed” list for its experimental shoegaze sound in early 2023. The live band consists of Gil, along with deep friends and collaborators Connor Bush, Ned Sassi, and Gabe Silverman.

SHERRIE

Sherrie is a Philly dream pop five-piece hoping to help you drift away for a bit on a cloud. Vocal-loops, synths, and transcendent guitar shine through dancey backbeats.

COSMIA

Cosmia is playing their first show at this event. They are a three-piece featuring Sarah Schimeneck on vocals and keys (Mercury Girls, Pet Milk, Inlets), Jesse Sparhawk on harp (The Valerie Project, Fern Knight, Timesbold, On the Water), and Josh Meakim on synth (Sunny Day in Glasgow). The trio also performs together in the project The Fantastic Imagination.

Influences include, but are not limited to, Joanna Newsom, Anna von Hausswolff, Dead Can Dance, and Colleen.
