iji
iji is the long-living, flexi-musical output project of West Coast, pop/rock eccentric Zach Burba. Since 2004 Zach has released countless records, tapes and cd’s for the moniker that exist on a wide sound-spectrum, from studio-reel jangle pop to exploratory bedroom lo-fi, always centered on song and vision. On their new 2024 album titled “Automatically”, iji’s music is at its warmest and most direct, with inspired contributions from members of Mega Bog, Big Thief, Dear Nora and The Lentils. Burba’s tunes take swings at the big and little pictures, riding the surreal highway that connects them, with musings on late capitalism, psychic phenomenon, language failure and the dream world.
KARL BLAU
Karl Blau is a lo-fi legend of mystical proportions, with over 61 albums and counting, and a tendency to put it all in the blender – psychedelic pop, cosmic country, bardic transmission, and exploratory dance groove. Karl relocated to Historic Germantown, PA from Anacortes, WA a handful of years back and has continued the mission of channeling the liberational, liminal, lyrics.
SONG PEOPLE
Song People is an autumnal song cabal formed by Shaina Kapeluck, Darian Scatton, and Benjamin Schurr of the Philadelphia-based music collective Edible Onion. They’ve played together in various projects for over a decade and continue to rip true and faithful to this day.
